I’ve finally cracked Twitter and LinkedIn as marketing channels for my blog. It turns out, people like when you post interesting code snippets every day. The consistency is finally being reflected in my subscriber count.
With success comes suffering. Every time a post goes viral, I’ll have at least one person telling me it’s straight-up the worst code they’ve ever seen.
Sometimes, however, the haters are completely right.
Cunningham's Law states that "The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer." This is never more true than on Twitter or LinkedIn. The most cracked engineers in the world will come out of the woodwork to explain exactly what you did wrong, and why you should feel bad.
