Intro post / manifesto

Hey 👋, I’m Jacob

I’ve been an iOS Engineer for 7 years, and interested in technology my whole life. I’ve worked in consulting, co-founded my own eco-tech startup, and today I’m Lead Mobile Engineer at Gener8.

I’ve always been a fan of technical blogs, and have been meaning to start my own, so I can:

1. Share my knowledge. Every so often, I’ll solve a problem in a fairly neat way, and add it to a notepad doc of stuff I should one day write a blog post about.

2. Improve my own writing skills. I’ve fallen a little out of practice since peaking at around age 16, when I got an A* in English Lit GCSE.

What to expect

• Semi-regular, well-structured blog posts about neat software engineering topics

• Opinionated, hot takes on iOS

• Vague attempts at humour (with enough plausible deniability if it falls flat)
